EZ Stop
RAIDC were involved from the outset and worked closely with the inventor of this primarily injection-moulded shopping trolley retention system.
Activated as the trolley is pushed over a profiled moulded tile, the unit encased a complex internal system of mechanical linkages which caused a brake to operate under a range of selected situations.
The EZ Stop is now in use by a number of major supermarket chains.
Andrew Gray, CEO of Gray Matter (alpha) Ltd:
"Neil offers a sensible and useful approach to design; he is creative without losing the initial brief. Despite being 230 miles apart I can always trust Neil to deliver designs which look good, function and can be made by outsourced manufacturers with the minimum of fuss"
